HUMANS FIRST CLUB
WELCOME TO ALZHEIMER'S DEMENTIA
Humans First is an international volunteer program founded by a group of high school students who aim to bring the people in need with the people that want to help. Under this umbrella, Humans First mainly does work with Alzheimer’s patients and underserved children in the rural villages in Turkey. Since its inception in 2016, every year the Humans First Club has been successful in connecting around 40 volunteers with 40 AD care center residents. By early 2017, the Humans First Club expanded to include two branches: one in Turkey and one in US. Every summer, with the collaboration of Anadolu University, volunteers gather in Turkey to take classes on Alzheimer’s and bring awareness on this health problem by organizing events in rural villages and by helping young people cultivate good habits early on to prevent Alzheimer’s.
